Chromalox, Inc. (Pittsburgh, PA) introduced the 12-Channel Temperature Monitor (CX224), which comes complete with ChromaSoft CX224 software. Digital communications is provided as a standard feature.

The monitor joins previous temperature monitoring equipment from Chromalox designed to meet the needs of electric machinery protection. Its 12-channel scanning capability, standard S485/ RS-232 interface and Windows-compatible software utility for system configuration and data logging provide over-temperature and under-temperature protection with feedback to safeguard expensive machinery.

This product is suitable for heaters, motors, generators, and transformers where temperature monitoring of equipment is a preventative maintenance requirement, including water treatment and chemical process facilities. The CX224 series accepts thermocouple, RTD, and 4/20 mA inputs in any combination.
