3D Color Printer Fits in Office, 2 in a Series

By DE Editors

Z Corporation (Burlington, MA; zcorp.com) announced the ZPrinter 450, its newest color 3D printer. The ZPrinter 450 is optimized for a front-office environment: It is quiet, uses safe build materials, and employs “negative pressure” and a closed loop system to contain airborne particles. Even when a model requires supports, the ZPrinter 450 produces no liquid waste to remove them, and the ZPrinter 450’s powder and binder cartridges cleanly load, keeping users away from the build materials.

The ZPrinter 450, says Z Corporation, introduces first-ever capabilities for a color 3D printer, such as automated setup and self-monitoring of materials and print status. The ZPrinter 450 uses a loose powder for model support structures and automatically removes that loose powder upon completion of the model without liquid baths. Plus, the ZPrinter 450 has an integrated fine-powder removal chamber that reduces the footprint of the system.

Price: $39,900. For complete details, visit zcorp.com.
