3D Systems announced the immediate availability of its new ProJet x60 series of full color 3D printers that the company says can print 90% of the colors available in Adobe Photoshop and new VisiJet PXL materials utilizing 3D Systems’ ColorJet Printing (CJP) technology.

The printer is built on the ZPrinter platform.  It can print in photo-realistic pastels as well as primary colors, and is equipped with faster print mode options, mobile connectivity using tablet computers and smartphones, and more powerful coloring and file preparation software tools.

The printer line includes six new models: ProJet 160 (compact, monochrome printing), ProJet 260C (full color), ProJet 360 (medium, monochrome), ProJet 460Plus (medium, full color), ProJet 660Pro (large format, full color), and ProJet 860Pro (super large format, full color).

“These exciting, next generation color printers embody 3D Systems’ commitment to democratize access to powerful and affordable 3D printing solutions for professionals, educators and consumers, alike,” said Michele Marchesan, vice president and general manager, personal and professional printers for 3D Systems. “The new ProJet x60 series builds on our innovation heritage, leverages our expanded line of 3D content-to-print solutions and enables users to create more, faster.”
