A Turbo-charger for RE

By HighRES, Inc.

HighRES, Inc. is the leading company dedicated to direct CAD reverse engineering and measurement software solutions worldwide. The company launched its revolutionary integrated CAD/CAM reverse engineering technology in 1986, and is at the forefront of the next digitizing revolution. The High- RES mission is about making reliable CAD/CAM integrated reverse engineering solutions available to anyone, anywhere, and anytime on any digitizing device. Today, HighRES offers a comprehensive line of software for portable coordinate measuring machines (CMMs) and its products enable customers to create, integrate, and deliver native CAD/CAM digitized content.

The company develops and markets plug-andplay software tool sets that translate raw digitized data from portable CMMs as native CAD/CAM entities, eliminating data translation problems often associated with competing reverse engineering applications.

HighRES takes a modular approach, providing over 500 CAD/CAM integrated plug-and-play software tool set combinations addressing the needs of a broad range of users in their CAD tool of choice.

The new and powerful HighRES Integrated Point Processor (HIPP) offers you CAD-native control over scanned plastic molds or other 3D part and assembly models. When using HIPP, you preprocess your data into organized entities and bring data direct into CAD with the HighRES addedvalue module. HIPP manages millions of points and lets you bring discreet points into a CAD tool as native entities. You can now build solids and surfaces as native features in real-time. All data resides in the CAD feature tree, or levels, as native 2D/3D CAD entities that can be modified or dimensioned.

HighRES, Inc. recently announced that it has aggressively expanded and enhanced its operations, with increased focus on research and development and customer services. “The customer has always been the driving force at HighRES and will continue to be moving forward”, said Christiann Moore, Director. “HighRES continues to re-invest in the backbone of the organization. We will continue to improve in these areas to provide support that matches the sophistication of the HighRES solution.”

You’ve heard of imported digitized data making it halfway through the design process and ending up with non-machineable surfaces. And this is exactly where HighRES and its product line fits in. With our unique technology, we’ve eliminated the risk of moving digitized surface geometry through the design and manufacturing cycle. We’ve integrated data collection directly in the leading CAD/CAM packages, including:  AutoCAD/Mechanical Desktop, Autodesk Inventor, KeyCreator, Mastercam,  Pro/ENGINEER, Rhino, Siemens/ UGS NX, Solid Edge, SolidWorks.

The digitizers that can be used to link to native CAD/CAM software include: Immersion (Microscribe), FARO (FaroArm), Polhemus (FASTRAK), Romer (Cimcore), Boulder Innovation Group (3D Creator).

What’s keeping your engineers from collecting surface data from your existing molds, models or parts? With the family of “Reverse-it” integrated reverse engineering software modules, we offer the most diverse, multi-choice, seamlessly integrated solution for turbocharging your reverse engineering process and environment.
