Supports more than 300 formats.

Accusoft announced the release of Prizm Document Converter, a high-speed conversion program that converts more than 300 supported formats, including PDF, MS Office, images/graphics and CAD to many supported output formats, including PDF, raster files such as PNG and JPEG for use in Web applications, or SVG format for use in HTML5 applications.

Unlike virtual printer converters, the solution is a multi-threaded conversion engine, which can be easily integrated into Web applications and document management systems.

By embedding Prizm Document Converter in their projects, companies enable a variety of applications including enabling conversion in a secure content management system (CMS) that automatically makes MS Office files into PDF, SVG, JPEG and more for convenient storage and viewing. Developers can build a PDF converter widget into an application toolbar, or insert conversion as an embedded process within their application. Suppliers to manufacturing plants and large commercial facilities can embed conversion in their products to transform engineering drawings and other documents to a more portable, widely supported format, such as PDF.

The Document Converter can be used on its own, or as a part of the Prizm Content Connect document viewer, which displays and prints any of the supported 300 formats (from within any HTML5 or Flash-enabled browser) and adds annotation, redaction, digital rights management (DRM) and SharePoint integration.
