3D Systems Corporation (Rock Hill, SC) has received a big order from Acu-Cast Technologies, LLC (Lawrenceburg, TN),  a Preferred Parts Service Provider (PSP), for the company’s first iPro 9000 SLA Precision Center and iPro conversion kits to upgrade its existing fleet of four Viper Pro SLA Systems.

Increased demand for precision-pro-parts is the driver for Acu-Cast Technologies to move ahead with the purchase, which is the third in 12 months. Since installing its first Viper Pro System, Acu-Cast reports that it has not been able to keep up with demand for larger precision plastic parts. Customers want to produce ultra high-definition ‘Pro-Parts’ from 3D Systems’  integrated portfolio of proprietary Accura Plastics. Acu-Cast already has a fleet of five iPro 9000 SLA Centers, which produce durable plastic parts with remarkable surface smoothness, feature resolution, edge definition, and tolerances that have accuracy close to that of CNC-machined plastic parts.

With five iPro 9000 SLA Precision Centers in-house, Acu-Cast will be set to address the demanding requirements of its growing customer base.
