Agilent Technologies Offers Analyzer for PCB Manufacturing Tests

Agilent Technologies introduced the E5063A PCB Analyzer for printed circuit board impedance testing in manufacturing. The analyzer provides a dedicated user interface with broader language support, and more robustness against electrostatic discharge for PCB manufacturing environments, the company says.
 
The unit provides advanced error-correction methods to enhance measurement accuracy and R&R, which help improve yield for PCB impedance test. Option 011 in the E5063A PCB Analyzer now supports simplified and traditional Chinese, Japanese and Korean. The ESD protection circuit now available on the analyzer helps overcome the ESD damage that traditional PCB measurement solutions can encounter.

“In addition to enhancements that go beyond traditional test solutions,  we offer the solution at an affordable price,” said Akira Nukiyama,  vice president and general manager, Agilent’s component test division. “Continuous achievements in high-speed digital applications and uncompromising expertise in RF measurements enable us to achieve these breakthroughs with the E5063A PCB Analyzer.”
 
The company also announced the E5063A ENA Series network analyzer, a low-cost ENA solution for manufacturing test. The instrument offers optimized performance and functionality for testing simple RF passive components, such as handset/BTS antennas, RF cables and filters. It can also be used in R&D for evaluation of RF passive devices and dielectric materials.

It provides trace noise of 0.002 dBrms and the stability of 0.01 dB/degC. Using the E5063A with U1810B USB RF switch, engineers can build an economical multi-DUT test solution for testing four antennas with a single instrument, further reducing cost of test, the company says.
