Airbus Defence and Space Joins Altair Partner Alliance

The company will be adding its aircraft analysis platform to HyperWorks.

Airbus Defence and Space has joined the Altair Partner Alliance, adding airframe structural analysis and verification to HyperWorks with STRENGTH2000.

STRENGTH2000, according to the company, is a toolbox for strength and stability analyses for aerospace standards. It is also customizable to include proprietary in-house methods and supports detailed sizing for metallic and composite structures. The platform combines validated analysis methods, geometry data, finite element results, material data, internal loads analysis and a graphical interface for development.

“Airbus Defence and Space is pleased to offer STRENGTH2000 to HyperWorks users through the Altair Partner Alliance,” said Dr. Gerd Schuhmacher, senior expert at Airbus Defence and Space. “Our software will be very useful for aerospace stress engineers in the Altair community. Advantages of STRENGTH2000 include lead-time reduction and the significant reliability improvement of strength and stability analysis tasks. Long-term reproducibility of results is also extremely important in order to support upgrades as well as maintenance and repair during decades of aircraft in-service operation.”
