ALGOR, Inc. (Pittsburgh, PA), a provider of design, analysis, and simulation software,  announced ALGOR DesignCheck — a first-pass, fully integrated simulation tool for users of Pro/ENGINEER, the integrated 3D CAD/CAM/CAE solution from Parametric Technology Corporation (PTC;  Needham, MA).

Expanding upon the existing technology partnership between ALGOR and PTC, ALGOR DesignCheck is free, time-limited finite element analysis (FEA) software that allows engineers and designers to perform linear static stress analysis of single-part CAD models. With ALGOR DesignCheck, Pro/ENGINEER users can virtually test the behavior of product designs, speed up time to market, and make better, safer products at a lower cost.

ALGOR software’s easy-to-use single user interface, FEMPRO,  provides direct CAD/CAE data exchange and full associativity with most CAD solid modelers, including Pro/ENGINEER. This gives engineers access to ALGOR’s simulation capabilities including static stress and Mechanical Event Simulation (MES) with linear and nonlinear material models; linear dynamics; fatigue; CFD including steady-state and transient heat transfer, steady and unsteady fluid flow and mass transfer; electrostatics; full multiphysics; and piping.

To see a free demonstration, view “ALGOR FEA for CAD Featuring Pro/ENGINEER”  or download the free, time-limited ALGOR DesignCheck software.
