Update reduces complexity of explicit dynamics simulation.

ANSYS and Livermore Software Technology have teamed to enable access to ANSYS LS-DYNA directly from the ANSYS Workbench framework, which the companies say will make their explicit dynamics simulation tools easier to use. According to ANSYS, Workbench LS-DYNA simplifies the process of preparing input parameters and visualizing results for engineers using explicit dynamics tools.

The Workbench LS-DYNA add-in module is available to all customers with an ANSYS LS- DYNA, ANSYS LS-DYNA PC and/or ANSYS LS-DYNA PrepPost license.  It is available for download from the ANSYS Customer Portal ACT Library page. The module was created using the ANSYS Application Customization Toolkit (ACT).

“ANSYS ACT, a powerful tool, made it possible for us to create this new working environment in a matter of months rather than the years that would be required without ACT,” said Philip Ho, project leader at Livermore.
