Arena Solutions Debuts PLM Collaboration Platform and Data Extraction Tools

The two modules can help increase time-to-market and collaboration between design teams.

Arena Solutions, a provider of cloud-based product lifecycle management (PLM) applications, has released two new modules for Fall 2014. These enhancements to Arena Quality are Arena Scribe and Arena DataExtract. The products are focused on speeding time to market, enabling real-time communication and the aggregation of a complete history through the supply chain, the company states.

Arena Scribe provides a collaboration platform with real-time commenting on any Arena Item, Change, Request, Supplier, Supplier Item, File, Project or Quality process.

Arena DataExtract enables users to extract all process data to a standard, flat file format and use for a variety of analytic tools.

The Fall 2014 release also has enhancements to Arena Quality that focuses on visibility, cross functional team collaboration and long-term quality tracking of quality resolutions. Quality processes can be chained together and statuses can be automatically set.

“In today’s highly interconnected world, product and manufacturing companies heavily depend on their supply chain, which makes easy, transparent communication with suppliers an absolute must-have to compete in a fast-paced, hyper-competitive marketplace,” said Steve Chalgren, vice president of product management and strategy at Arena. “The cloud provides the potential for this kind of global collaboration. At Arena, we’ve brought this potential to life with Arena Scribe, Arena DataExtract and the robust enhancements to Arena Quality.”
