Autodesk (San Rafael, CA) will be delivering an updated version of Autodesk Inventor LT Technology Preview software, making the software once again free to the user community for another year.
By extending the Inventor LT Technology Preview, Autodesk is further enabling the manufacturing supply chain to participate in digital prototyping workflows, avoiding the challenges associated with multi-CAD environments. Providing manufacturers with a similar user interface and much of the same technology available in Autodesk Inventor software, Inventor LT allows all files created and 3D design skills learned to fully transfer to Inventor.
Since its release in May 2007, Inventor LT has become a widely accepted member of the Autodesk Inventor family of products within the manufacturing community. Due to the demand for the current version of Inventor LT, Autodesk will be delivering an updated version of the software prior to the May 1, 2008 expiration date, to continue to provide the service to existing customers.
Based on Inventor 2009 technology, this new version will once again be a Technology Preview with free time-bound licenses.
Inventor LT allows manufacturers to create, share, and edit 3D part models from different CAD systems, improving communication with suppliers and customers. Providing manufacturers with a similar user interface and much of the same part-level 3D modeling, import/export, documentation, and rendering technology in Autodesk Inventor software, Inventor LT allows all files created to fully transfer to Inventor.
