The Autodesk Inventor LT Technology Preview software, first released in May 2007 (San Rafael, CA),  has expanded its presence in response to high demand with an updated version of the LT software delivered before May 1, 2008, continuing to provide the service to existing customers. Based upon Inventor 2009, the new version will be offered as a Technology Preview again with free* time-bound licenses, to be made available for download later in the spring.

In addition to Canada and the U.S., Inventor LT’s global reach has recently been expanded to include availability in Australia and New Zealand. During 2008, Autodesk plans to further expand availability of Inventor LT to additional select countries.

Inventor LT provides manufacturers with much of the same part-level 3D modeling, import/export, documentation, and rendering technology and similar user interface to Autodesk Inventor software. All files created and 3D design skills acquired using LT transfer seamlessly to Inventor.

The increase in the availability of Inventor LT enables the manufacturing supply chain to better participate in Digital Prototyping workflows.
