Autodsys, Inc.(Portland, OR) announced an upgrade to its latest version of AcceliCAD making it compatible with many other CAD products.
AcceliCAD is compatible with AutoCAD DWG file formats version 2.5-2009 as well as DXF, SAT, and SVG files. AcceliCAD uses the same command set as AutoCAD so users familiar with that software will be able to work without any additional training, states the release.
Qualifying CAD products include any version of AutoCAD, AutoCAD LT, Alibre Design, CADKEY, IntelliCAD, IronCAD, KEYCREATOR, MicroStation, Pro/ENGINEER, RhinoCAD, SketchUP Pro, SolidWorks, TurboCAD, and VectorWorks, to name a few. Users of any of these packages can purchase AcceliCAD for $300.
A few of the features included in AcceliCAD, which has a suggested retail price of $375, are full compatibility with AutoCAD 2008 DWG file formats; batch plotting interface allows the plotting of multiple drawings and layouts in one step; a quick dimensioning feature will dimension an entire part or plan in one easy step; dimension-driven editing, and more.
