Axsotic Announces 3D-Spheric Mouse
November 12, 2010
Axsotic is developing a 3D-Spheric-Mouse that allows designers to move, zoom and rotate at the same time.
The ball-shaped input device is suspended and has no mechanical sensors. The polymer springbodies create a smoothly consistent workflow, according to the company.
The 3D-Spheric-Mouse does not need a driver for most Windows and Macintosh computers using HID-Standards. It has an automated calibration routine that recognize when it is idle. Because of this, no driver has to be installed, but 3D applications need a plugin that can be downloaded or built using the company’s software development kit.
