B&B Electronics Launches Wzzard Intelligent Sensing Platform

B&B Electronics, a developer of network connectivity products, has revealed the Wzzard Intelligent Sensing Platform. The goal of this platform is to provide a medium to develop scalable, reliable, Internet of Things (IoT) networking in remote and demanding environments, the company states.

The Wzzard platform uses iterative control limits and gateway data aggregation to create a network. In order to generate connectivity, Wzzard Intelligent Edge Nodes connect via a conduit fitting cable to any industry-standard sensor. The nodes are already configured with internal temperature and accelerometer options, and can be controlled using Android or iOS smartphone devices.

Also included in the Wzzard Intelligent Sensing Platform is SmartMesh wireless sensing technology, which creates full-mesh networks.  The Intelligent Nodes can join these networks at anytime without any gateway interaction, attaching automatically.

“The Wzzard platform’s technologies, protocols and hardware work together to reduce the complexity, expertise and time it takes for integrators to develop scalable IoT solutions. We developed Wzzard to facilitate the coming world of connected intelligence, where smart machines and systems will collaborate, inform and make decisions on the intelligence gained from each other with little or no human supervision. Humans will program these smart networks, but then they have the ability to run efficiently and autonomously, sometimes for years, until there’s data reported that requires human intervention,” said Jerry O’Gorman, chief executive officer of B&B Electronics.
