Intergraph release provides flexibility for changing pipes, tees during design.

Intergraph has announced CADWorx 2014 for plant design and automation. The software includes a new user interface, among other enhancements.

Dynamic pipe supports allow users to make pipe size changes while automatically maintaining pipe and steel association. Tees are converted to crosses using the grip point on the main of the tee, allowing users to change a tee to a cross without erasing and redrawing.

Reducers can now have branches routed from the side, and center of gravity calculations can be completed within a single dialog box for all component types. Gaskets, bolts and welds have been enhanced for appearance, and the new release includes an integrated OrthoGen capability to automate orthographic drawing generation from CADWorx models.

Users can import and export description formats, as well as import smart plant reference data specifications.
