Adding to its list of file formats, EnSight Version 8.2.5 now has Adobe Flash compatibility, improving the process of publishing animations to the web.
The extreme visualization application from Computational Engineering International (Apex, NC) can now create visualizations as Macromedia Flash video files (.flv) and Macromedia Flash format files (.swf). The new Flash capability supports lossless image compression, so there is no loss of quality in either format.
“Now, anyone with Adobe Flash authoring tools can read and work with the images and animations created with EnSight without the need for additional format conversion utilities,” said Randall Frank, a senior developer at CEI.
In addition to EnSight, CEI’s free python-based EnVe video editor is now also compatible with both Flash formats.
