CimatronE 12 to Feature Automated Insert Design

The feature will reduce design time and improve insert quality, the company states.

Cimatron Limited has revealed that CimatronE 12 will offer complete automation over the insert design process. The software currently provides integrated design and NC programming solutions for mold and die manufacturers.

The new feature of the insert design tool, allows for complete automation of insert design, and gives the opportunity for machining of parts before the design plate has been completed. It automates most aspects of insert creation, such as the design of insert shape and fastening, plus component and plate cutting.

Other features of CimatronE 12 include a new Moldex 3D module for simulating mold cooling, added ejector table, blank refit tool and a customizable EDM setup interface.

“Cimatron remains committed to simplifying the work of mold designers and to expediting the machining and production of molds,” said Mr Bill Gibbs, president, North America at Cimtron. “Aside from reducing design time, the tool also improves the insert quality, ensuring superb mold integrity.”
