RevUp Render is demonstrating its new RevUp VCS (Virtual Cloud System) and RevUp RealityServer software at Autodesk University.

RevUp VCS, a high-performance computing (HPC) workstation residing within the cloud, designers and engineers unlimited access to supercomputing-level performance from virtually any remote location,  according to the company. By taking advantage of high-performance CPUs, GPUs and system memory configurations, RevUp VCS allows users to achieve maximum software performance and BIM model sharing capabilities in the cloud. The software is compatible with many 3D design and modeling software programs including AutoCAD, Revit, Revit MEP and NavisWorks.

RevUp RealityServer is designed to complement RevUp Render VCS and is the first mental images iRay GPU-based supercomputing render platform created for Autodesk Revit software, according to the company. With RevUp RealityServer, renders can be distributed and processed across the newly announced GPU clusters found on Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), which is designed for use with the Amazon Web Services (AWS) computing platform. RevUp Render is also collaborating with miGenius,  Ltd. for the development of the RevUp RealityServer product. miGenius technology features customizable interfaces, unrestricted camera controls, and unlimited simultaneous users, allowing users to share photorealistic 3D models and environments in real time.

Also at Autodesk University, RevUp Render and Axceleon, creators of EnFuzion and CloudFuzion distributive computing software, are previewing RevUp CloudFuzion software, which allows production studios to automate rendering projects across the Amazon Web Services massive bank of servers. Initially RevUp CloudFuzion will use mental ray Linux instances as the rendering platform on Amazon’s EC2.
