OPEN MIND Technologies (Wessling, Germany) says it will preview v9.6 and v9.7 of its hyperMILL CAM software at the EMO Hanover show in Germany in September. V9.6 will implement support for multicore processors, and v9.7 features support for Windows Vista and a SolidWorks integration that enables users to work with hyperMILL in the SolidWorks environment. The integration is suited to continuous CAD/CAM processes that access a single database as well as those who want to work in a familiar software environment.
Also new from OPEN MIND is millTURN, a new mill/turn module for hyperMILL v9.6. Automatic stock tracking and stock management, a tool database, and collision control are available for all turning and milling strategies. A mill/turn postprocessor ensures that a complete NC file is output.
