Contex (Alleroed, Denmark) announced its next generation of professional wide format scanners, the HD (high definition) series.
Contex HD Series scanners offer true 600dpi optical resolution, faster Hi-Speed USB xDTR for high productivity gains on daily scanning tasks, advanced 48-bit CCD technology with on-board image processing, and up to 12ips monochrome scanning and 3ips color scanning (said to be the fastest in the industry).
Plus, Automatic Thickness Adjustment Control (ATAC) enables safe scanning of all document types, even up to 15mm thick. The company says the series offers greater image quality and flexibility, and offers a return on investment for full-service copyshops and reprographic companies.
The scanners’ black-and-silver casing fits seamlessly into business environments. Easily integrated with most wide format printers, the scanners let users create visually unified, multifunction copying and printing solutions.
Contex’s CCD-based scanners are said to offer speed, image quality, and data accuracy to scanning tasks regardless of how sensitive or specialized they are.
Plus the HD Series helps customers navigate Contex’s product range more easily, as Contex made its product names more intuitive: The HD is followed by four digits: the first two show the scanner’s width, the last two its speed.
