Contex has announced free workshops that will show CAD and BIM users how to leverage their hard copy drawings with Autodesk products. The workshops will be held daily at Contex booth #1515 at Autodesk University conference in Las Vegas, Nov. 30 to Dec. 2.

The workshops will show how users can mark up, scan, and share hard-copy drawings with other Autodesk users. These sessions will also highlight how to scan a document directly into an online plan room or into the Autodesk environment as lines, arcs, circles, and text. The workshops will help Autodesk users to improve productivity, avoid interruptions, and save time.

Prospective participants should register in advance at www.contex.com/AU2010 or contact Contex at 877-226-6839.

At the Contex booth, the company will also showcase its line of wide format scanners—several of which are eligible for special pricing until Dec. 31, 2010, as part of Contex’s year-end sale. The booth will feature demonstrations of wide format scanning solutions for Autodesk users in manufacturing, civil, mechanical, architecture, building, and construction. Contex will also demonstrate WiseImage Pro, an add-on for CAD users who need to modify or convert scanned images into intelligent usable CAD and BIM drawings.

At the HP booth #115, Contex will demonstrate its HD4250MFP coupled with the new HP Designjet T7100 Printer. This new device is designed to ease and accelerate print production for customers by offering speeds of up to 165 A1 prints per hour and unattended printing. When paired with the Contex HD4250MFP, the combination creates a production-oriented reprographic system that scans and prints both color and black-and-white drawings.
