CoreTech System has developed of an industry-oriented design validation product with SolidWorks. The product, Moldex 3D eDesignSYNC for SolidWorks, offers all-in-one analysis tools to help engineers quickly evaluate the manufacturability of their plastic designs, troubleshoot, and enhance quality, form and function, the company says.

“Quality assurance, cost reduction and time-to-market have been key success factors in current market competition. The integration of design and simulation provides enterprises with the ability to face challenges head-on. It also allows them to effectively decide optimal design plans from simulation-validated changes. Most importantly, it allows them to manufacture better quality products with lower costs and with shorter cycle time,” said Venny Yang, president of CoreTech System.

The multi-functional interface is fully embedded into SolidWorks to create seamless workflow from design to simulation, the company says. Designers can build 3D models, run injection-molding analyses, and directly visualize simulation results for design optimization in SolidWorks.

Intelligent wizards enable designers to model their parts, guiding them step by step in setting up necessary melt delivery and cooling components for simulation. The auto-meshing engine also simplifies the meshing process and accelerates design validation.
