Creaform (Quebec, Canada), developer and manufacturer of the Handyscan 3D lineup of handheld and self-positioning laser scanners, introduced the VIUscan, a self-positioning handheld and high-resolution portable 3D color scanner.
The VIUscan color laser scanner can achieve hyper-realistic results due to features such as simultaneous texture and geometry acquisition, real-time rendering, true color acquisition through a built-in lighting system, adjustable uniform texture resolution, and automatic 100 percent-accurate texture mapping.
Like its fellow scanners from the Handyscan 3D lineup, the VIUscan is said to be accurate, easy to learn and use, and versatile.
