CST Launches CST EMC STUDIO

The platform is created specifically for electromagnetic compatibility and interference analysis.

Computer Simulation Technology (CST), a provider of electromagnetic simulation solutions, has released CST EMC STUDIO. The platform is designed specifically for electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and interference analysis.

CST EMC STUDIO has a set of solver technology for the study of EMC effects, with general purpose 3D modules for time and frequency domain simulation. Specifically included is the 3D transmission line matrix method solver, which can help simplify numerical EMC analysis, the company states.

The software also includes capabilities for analyzing printed electronics. EDA import formats that are supported include ones used in Cadence Allegro, Mentor Graphics’ Xpedition, as well as Zuken CR8000 and ODB++ databases. Additionally, the EMC rule checker can detect potential problems on PCBs (printed circuit boards) before they are analyzed in 3D.

“In the last few years, we’ve seen increasing interest in our products from the world of EMC analysis,” said Bernhard Wagner, managing director, CST. “Through the development of simulation tools and specialized workflows specifically for this segment, numerical EMC analysis can be integrated earlier in the design process. With the introduction of CST EMC STUDIO, we further demonstrate our commitment to this field.”
