Dassault Systèmes has announced a technology relationship with Graebert GmbH.  Graebert worked with Dassault Systèmes to help deliver DraftSight, recently launched by Dassault Systèmes.  The companies will work together to enhance the software based on customer feedback and response.

DraftSight, currently in public beta, is a 2D CAD product that provides users with a different way to read, write and share DWG files. DraftSight is based on Graebert’s ARES Commander Edition software, announced in February 2010.

“We selected Graebert as our technology development partner based on a number of different criteria, including the performance and feature set of the core ARES software,” says Aaron Kelly, senior director, DraftSight,  Dassault Systèmes. “Working with Graebert, we have delivered software that will not only enable the DraftSight community to read, write and share DWG files,  but to do so with a level of price-performance and features that will change how people use CAD.”
