Dassault Systemes and Seemage Form Partnership

September 6, 2007 – A new partnership between Dassault Systemes (DS; Paris, France) and Seemage, Inc. (Sophia Antipolis Cedex, France) will leverage the companies’ strengths to grow their presence in the 3D product documentation market.

Working together, the companies will further the use of 3D as a universal media by producing 3D product documentation from digital product definition data.

The partnership will provide a seamless link between product documentation and PLM product-related data, eliminating disparities between product-related IP and any required product documentation, including animations, graphics, and illustrations for training, maintenance manuals, and service procedures.

Seemage users can use 3D data from any 3D CAD or enterprise system to create content for any desired output in formats including Microsoft Office documents, PDF, and HTML. Seemage’s XML-based architecture integrates seamlessly with enterprise systems.

With Seemage’s XML-based, CAD-independent architecture, which is said to integrate seamlessly with enterprise systems, products can be delivered faster, with higher quality and at lower cost. Seemage customers include PSA Peugeot Citroën, ING Renault F1 Team, John Deere, Faurecia, Delphi, SNECMA, Alcatel Alenia Space and Thales.
