DDC Selects Kontron System

Kontron, a provider of embedded computing technology, has had its COBALT computer selected by Data Device Corporation (DDC). The company will use the system as a small form factor for its Rugged Avionics Interface Computer.

The COBALT platform, according to the company, provides a robust, 1P67 fully sealed and compact system for optimal computing performance of DDC’s aerospace and defense applications. It is based on Kontron’s COM (computer-on-modules) Express Type 6 and measures at 8.5 x 5.5 x 3.9 in.
