Dell, Inc. (Austin, TX) is notnecessarily known for clustering, HPC, supercomputers, or cloud computing.Instead, Dell focuses on building simple, powerful, PCs and servers basedentirely on industry standards. Pretty straightforward.
So why would Dellhave anything to say about clouds? Because most clouds use servers basedentirely on industry standards!
The new blog http://direct2dell.com/cloudcomputing/default.aspx spends a lot of time walking through the basics: how does the concept of cloudcomputing differ from software as a service (SaaS), what’s a grid and how dothey work, and trends in cloud computing.
