Distene Releases MeshGems 2.0

This version has Boundary Layers generation capability, Distributed Parallel performance and mesh quality enhancements.

Distene has launched the latest version of MeshGems, a platform for integrating mesh simulation into the CAD/CAM workflow. This release includes a Boundary Layers generation capability, Distributed Parallel performance and mesh quality enhancements. This update, the company sates, makes a new step forward in automatic meshing for a wide range of applications including CFD (computational fluid dynamics), structures and electromagnetics.

Surface Meshing capabilities on discrete geometries has been improved with a common workflow for continuous CAD geometry and discrete models. It also introduces the possibility to drive elements created on a CAD-patch per CAD-basis.

For Mesh Processing, new algorithms have been added for MG_Cleaner. Partial support for required entities has also been introduced for when some entities should be kept unchanged. The Tetrahedral Volume Meshing functionality now has expanded boundary regeneration algorithms, optimized mesh generation speed and improved quality.

In addition to overall meshing updates, version 2.0 includes two new modules: MG-Tetra_HPC and MG-Hybrid. MG-Tetra_HPC is for parallel tetrahedral volume mesh generation. MG_Hybrid offers tools for mixed element type volume mesh generation.
