DSD Opens New Testing Center

Drive System Design (DSD) has opened a new testing center for its customers in the transmissions and driveline industry.

The new plant has workshops and a variety of test equipment to develop and validate mechanical hardware. It also includes two environmental chambers with temperature and humidity control, a press release published on Automobile Technology states.

The facility also has two spin rigs, a gear shift quality measurement system and synchronizer test rig. Additionally, engineers can use one of two iron slotted bedplates for general purpose rig builds and component testing.

“With the new facility, we can provide a seamless service by generating the validation requirements then following up with the design of a rig with assembly and commissioning,” DSD Development and Control Chief Engineer Rob Oliver said.
