Electro Standards Laboratories (ESL) has announced the new Model 4162 Host and the Model 4169 4-Port Hub converter/extender system. These paired products extend USB connections via a high-speed fiber interface. They are well-suited for environments subject to high EM or RF interference that might corrupt USB communications over a copper interface.

These units support Windows, Mac OS, Linux and all USB device types: Control, Interrupt, Bulk and Isochronous at up to 480 Mbps.

The Model 4162 host and the Model 4169 4-port hub are designed to operate from 0°C to +50°C. The units also feature: power, link, host (Model 4162) and port active (Model 4169) indicator LEDs.
