ETA Releases PreSys 2014 R1

Added features include expanded dynamics capabilities from NISA and an updated geometry engine.

Engineering Technology Associates (ETA) has released the latest version of PreSys, its finite element modeling software. The company has also launched updated system analysis plugins. Version 2014 R1 has an updated geometry engine, solid mesh improvement and advanced dynamics solutions for NISA.

PreSys enables users to edit geometry using splitting, extending and project functions. In this release, the stitch function was expanded, making it accessible at all times via the user interface to repair geometry topology.

Map base entities have been expanded to include surface, shell elements and solid element faces. Additional methods and constraints have been added to control solid mesh patterns.

Dynamics capabilities from NISA are now available on the PreSys platform. These include transient response, random vibration, frequency response and shock spectrum analysis.

PreSys is able to interface with popular CAD platforms such as CATIA, NX, ProEngineer, SolidWorks and AutoCAD. This compatibility, according to the company, allows product engineers and simulation specialists to access design data, quickly create complex finite element models and insightful simulations.
