The EUROCOM D901C PHANTOM-X FSB1333 Mobile Workstation, with upgradeable VGA technology, provides NVIDIA GeForce Go 8800GTX graphics power, allowing users to simultaneously run multiple applications and with increased performance. It supports NVIDIA’s MXM (Mobile PCI Express Module) technology, so that you can upgrade graphics performance easily in the future as technology evolves.

EUROCOM mobile workstations are designed specifically for high-end professional and graphics users demanding maximum performance and power when running professional applications such as CAD/CAM, 3D animation, 3D simulation,  engineering, math, forensic or medical software, or graphics work.

“Eurocom Mobile Workstations are designed for heavy-duty computing so they are built like heavy-duty trucks — portable yet extremely powerful with maximum  upgradeability, expandability, and reliability,” says Mark Bialic, president of Eurocom. “The users Eurocom is targeting for these workstations are the selected few, engineers who work in 3D visualization and professional applications like AEC, BIM, CAD, CAM, CAE, DCC,  GIS, and Media Creation.”

EUROCOM mobile workstations are built on a customized basis so that users can select the individual configurations they require. All EUROCOM mobile workstations are fully upgradeable including hard drive(s), memory, optical drives, processors,  and graphics to prolong their lifespan.

Driving the system is the Intel Quad Core or Core 2 Extreme Processor with 1333MHz front side bus processor with 4MB of L2 cache, which delivers high-definition multimedia, multitasking, and multithreaded performance.

The D901C PHANTOM-X supports Scalable Link Interface (SLI) video technology,  FSB1333 FSB, and offers high-performance storage with 750GB of SATA-300 hard drives, RAID 0/1/5, three hard drives, and a Blu-Ray drive.

Featuring two NVIDIA GeForce Go 8800GTX GPUs or NVIDIA Quadro FX1600M, the D901C PHANTOM-X lets users choose between two NVIDIA graphics cards, one of which is the NVIDIA Quadro FX 1600M with 512MB of DDR3 for those seeking a high-performance workstation-class performance (the other is for gaming).

Users can select a single graphics card or two in NVIDIA SLI mode for image quality. With two of the fastest NVIDIA GeForce notebook GPUs in NVIDIA SLI mode or a NVIDIA Quadro GPU, the release indicates this new graphics workstation is designed for “hardcore” PC users and “provides blisteringly fast response times.”

The company says the D901C PHANTOM-X supports all of the latest independent software vendors (ISV) workstation applications in the range of vertical segments from CAD and CAE to geographic information systems and digital content creation.

The D901C, which measures 15.8 in. x 11.9 in. x 2.05 in. and weighs less than 12 lbs., supplies storage up to 750GB using three hard drives, allowing users to install additional office (and entertainment) applications. Customers can choose between RAID 0, RAID 1, or RAID 5 for the best transfer rates and application load times or redundancy.

The PHANTOM supports both 32- and 64-bit operating systems from Microsoft Vista Business or Ultimate to XP Professional or Microsoft Server 2003 up to Linux.

The mobile workstations offer high-performance wireless and wired networking with built-in WLAN N, Bluetooth 2.0, and Gigabit Ethernet; high-performance 64-bit dual core Intel and AMD processors; fully 64-bit compliant hardware, drivers,  and operating systems applications; 4GB of high-performance memory; large capacity,  high performance, three physical hard drives, and up to 750GB of storage;  high-performance, upgradeable single and Dual VGA including SLI and OpenGL (e.g., NVIDIA Quadro); displays from 17 in. to 22 in. LCDs in a portable form.

Other features include integrated webcam, Bluetooth and Wireless N A/B/G networking,  optional internal TV HDTV tuner, and theatre audio system enabling “a truly immersive experience,” according to the release.

A high-capacity optical drive storage Multi DVD Burner or Blu-Ray are offered,  along with multiple I/O ports; 4 or 5 USB 2.0 ports; FireWire ports; serial and parallel ports; 102-key desktop-like full size keyboards with separate numeric keypad; DVI-I ports for dual display; and S-Video In ports for digital video cameras, media card readers, optical digital and analog audio I/O, built-in microphone and stereo speakers, and surround sound system with SRS WOW technology.
