Eurocom now supports Microsoft Server 2008 R2 in its EUROCOM Panther 3.0 Mobile Server. The new Mobile Server solution allows multi-server capabilities in small spaces, while saving energy and providing a mobile solution for environments that can’t be addressed using conventional server designs.

The Panther 3.0 Mobile Server includes  the Intel Xeon processor (4-core 5500 or 6-core 5600 series); Dual NVIDIA Quadro 5010M/3800M/  2800M graphics (GeForce GTX 5xxM/4xxM, AMD HD6990, or AMD HD6970M optional); up to 24GB of DDR3-1333/1600 triple-channel memory; up to four 2.5-inch HDD or SSD drives in RAID 0/1/5/10; and gigabyte Ethernet with an option for quad-port GbE.

The mobile server configuration also eliminates much of the wiring required for rack-mount servers, while reducing the amount of energy and ambient cooling required. With support for Windows Server 2008 R2,  the solution also benefits from the addition of virtualization capabilities, a Web application platform, and improved scalability.

Eurocoms Panther 3.0 also supports Windows 7, Windows Server 2003 R2 32/64-bit, Solaris, VMware, Red Hat, and other Linux distributions.
