Exa has signed a partnership agreement with RTT, a provider of 3D visualization solutions, to extend Exa’s simulation solution portfolio with RTT’s 3D visualization software and technology. RTT’s Stellar viewing technology will be directly integrated into Exa PowerVIZ to provide a real-time simulation results visualization environment. Exa will continue to resell RTT’s products.

“As physical prototyping increasingly is replaced by digital simulation, it is vital for product engineering and design decision makers to be able to visualize both the design and simulation results in a photo-realistic environment,” said Stephen Remondi, Exa’s president and CEO. “RTT’s high-end visualization software offerings are a natural extension to our accurate simulation results, allowing effective communication of predicted performance to executive, design, marketing and sales teams. This is the future of product design and engineering communication and this partnership makes it possible today.”

According to the company, the integration of RTT Stellar into PowerVIZ, combined with Exa PowerINSIGHT, will allow automated post-simulation generation, giving users the ability to automatically create highly realistic visual assets on the fly.

As a member of the RTT Partner Network, Exa will also resell select RTT products, including RTT DeltaGen 12, the latest version of the world’s leading high-end 3D visualization software with real-time interaction. This will allow Exa customers to initiate interactive 3D design reviews, engage in augmented reality interaction with simulation models, and navigate scenes through a tablet-based interface.
