The Avante Technology Fabricatus 3D printer is designed to print precise injection mold tooling, compression molds and other high-performance parts using composite and conventional filaments.

It features automatic print head calibration, combined with proprietary Contour Control technology that the company says automatically corrects for any deviations in the flatness of the print bed to more accurately control each print layer.

The Fabricatus 3D printer also features two fully independent hot ends, automated print head (.35 mm, .4 and .5mm nozzles available) and high torque stepper motors. The $3,750 3D printer comes with two reels of FilaOne composite filaments, open source software, Emendo automatic .STL file analysis and repair software and a one year limited warranty.
