Faraday Future Designs Concept Electric Car

Engineers used the 3DEXPERIENCE platform to support its workflow.

To design its newest electric vehicle, Faraday Future has chosen the 3DEXPERIENCE solution from Dassault Systèmes as well as several industry specific options of the platform. With these tools, the company unveiled its concept car at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.

Faraday is currently using the “Target Zero Defect” and “Smart Safe & Connected” industry solutions to develop its car. According to a company press release, this emerging generation of cars requires manufacturers to integrate traditional automotive design disciplines with Internet-connectivity, alternative power-sources, and autonomous driving technologies. It is among these reasons that Faraday chose the 3DEXPERIENCE platform.

“We are taking a user-centric, technology-first approach to vehicle design with the ultimate aim of connecting the automotive experience to the rest of our customers’ life,” said Nick Sampson, senior vice president, Product R&D, Faraday Future. “Dassault Systèmes’ focus on customer experience and its unmatched technologies will enable us to meet our aggressive schedule to deliver the most advanced electric vehicles into the market. Dassault Systèmes’ industry solution experiences like ‘Target Zero Defect’ and ‘Smart Safe & Connected’ clinched the decision for Faraday Future.”

Faraday also plans to use the “Lean Production Run” solution for its prototype and product manufacturing in North Las Vegas.
