Flowmaster Ltd. (  Glenview, IL ) released Flowmaster V7 Aerospace. It is said to be the first dedicated thermo/fluid system simulation software tool developed to meet the challenges of the aerospace industry and helps organizations implement the design and simulation of fluid and thermal systems throughout the development process.

By working with global aerospace organizations to gain an understanding for their simulation needs, Flowmaster V7 Aerospace lets organizations integrate system simulation software with existing CAE and CFD tools, providing an integrated approach and a robust core for fluid system design processes.

V7 Aerospace offers improvements in the modeling of fuel systems with the introduction of a 3D Co-ordinate system, which enables the user to rotate an aircraft on its axis and simulate the effects of external body forces upon fuel systems while in flight.

ECS engineers will benefit from the Psychrometric Modelling functionality, which will track and modify changes in moisture and humidity through an environmental control system. Frequency domain postprocessing will help the optimization of hydraulic systems.

V7 Aerospace also incorporates a catalogue of industry- tailored components, plus a central database structure adds security and accessibility controls.
