At Supercomputing 2010, Fusion-io announced that it has achieved 1 million input/output operations per second (IOPS) and bandwidth in the industry, based on its flash-based, server-attached storage-class memory.

In addition to providing more than 1 million IOPS of performance, each ioDrive Octal provides 6.2GB/s of bandwidth and up to 5.7TB of linear-scaling capacity per PCI-Express slot. This allows applications to process tens of terabytes of data.

The ioDrive Octal is built with Fusion’s ioSphere Software Platform. The ioDrive Octal is now available for purchase through Fusion-io.
