Galil Motion Control Releases RIO-574x0 Controller

All devices have 16 opto-isolated digital inputs and high-power opto-isolated outputs.

Galil Motion Control Inc., has released its new EtherCAT slave I/O (input/output) controller. The RIO-574x0 includes digital and analog I/O and can be used remotely in an EtherCAT automation system.

“At half to a third of the price of comparable products, the RIO-574x0 is a cost-effective, easy-to-use EtherCAT solution for any application,” said Amber Ehardt, marketing manager at Galil Motion Control.

All RIO-574x0 have 16 opto-isolated digital inputs and 16 high-power (500mA sourcing) opto-isolated digital outputs. The RIO-57420 also includes eight analog inputs (4-20mA option available) and eight analog outputs, both configurable in the ranges of 0-5V, 0-10V, ±5V or ±10V (12-bit standard, 16-bit option available). All I/O are accessible via convenient screw terminals. LED indicators are provided for all digital I/O points.

Designed to be a compact solution, the RIO-574x0’s dimensions are 4.24x4.81x 2.35 in. It can be configured over USB in a few steps using Galil’s software with intuitive, English-like two-letter commands.

The RIO-57410 (32 digital I/O) is $495 at the single-piece price and $345 at the 100-piece price. The RIO-57420 (32 digital I/O, 16 analog I/O) is $595 at the single-piece price and $395 at the 100-piece price.
