HBM Ships QuantumX MX403B Amplifier

The new data acquisition device has an accuracy of 0.05%, the company states.

HBM, a provider of data acquisition systems, analysis and calibration software and sensors, has released its new high-voltage data acquisition model, the MX403B. It is the only measurement module capable of acquiring data synchronously and making 1,000 volt measurements, the company states.

The amplifier offers four differential, isolated channels with analog anti-aliasing filters and a 24-bit AD converter. The data can also have multiple digital filters applied. There are three measurement ranges of 10V, 100V and 1000V, and a sampling rate of 100 kS/s per channel. The MX403B’s accuracy is 0.05%, a press release states.

It is ideal for testing mechatronics systems that include electrical motors and actuators, and can be useful for battery testing up to 1250V. Users can connect the MX403B with all other QuantumX models, allowing for synchronously using sensors and transducers.

“In addition to providing the highest accuracy measurement, the MX403B is versatile enough to perform high voltage, high power and highly accurate power factor measurement for AC-based sources and actuators, such as one or three-phase electric motors in many mechatronics applications,” said Sujit Basu, business development manager, North America at HBM.
