New features for advanced machining and controller emulation.

By DE Editors

IMS Software (Haverhill, MA), developer of NC postprocessing, verification, and simulation solutions, released IMSpost 7.4 and an updated IMSce for V5.

IMSpost 7.4 provides numerous enhancements targeting advanced multi-axis machining. Support for dynamic coordinate systems and helical interpolation have been improved, postprocessor editor and debugging interfaces have been upgraded, and a new module providing report output in XML format has been added.

In addition to NC postprocessing, the IMSpost environment also provides a solution for Controller Emulation (CE) development, allowing any customer to develop G-code emulation for CATIA V5 from Dassault Systemes, or IMSverify from IMS Software.

Enhancements to Controller Emulation include multi-axis options, acceleration/ deceleration support, and management of logical errors in the G-code — for additional processing within CATIA or IMSverify.

IMSpost 7.4 and IMSce for V5 are available at IMS Software.
