IOTech (Cleveland,  OH) introduced the Personal Daq Series for USB Temperature and Voltage Measurement.

The USB-based modules are for 8 to 32 thermocouple inputs,  plus voltage inputs, analog outputs, digital I/O, and counters. Personal Daq/50 Series offers 22-bit resolution; while the Personal Daq/3000 Series provides 1MHz-sampling capability.

The Personal Daq/50 Series — USB Data Acquisition Modules — Models /54, /55, & /56 are multifunction data acquisition modules that attach to PCs via Universal Serial Bus (USB 1.0 & 2.0 compatible); their ultra low-power design requires no external power or batteries; they can be located up to 5 meters (16.4 ft.) from the PC;  high-resolution, 22-bit A/D converter offers reading rates from 1 to 80Hz;  built-in cold-junction compensation for direct thermocouple measurements; up to 100 Personal Daq modules can be attached to one PC using USB hubs, for a total capacity of 8,000 channels; and more. The Personal Daq/54 does not have frequency, digital I/O, or expansion capability

The Personal Daq/3000 Series — USB 1MHz, 16-Bit Multifunction Modules — Models /3000, /3001, /3005 are 1MHz, 16-bit multifunction USB modules that offer synchronous analog input, analog output,  digital I/O, and counter/timer I/O; thermocouple inputs on any of the 8 differential inputs; user-expandable up to 64SE/32DE analog inputs including thermocouple measurements; up to four 16-bit, 1MHz analog outputs; and more.
