LMI Aerospace to Supply Gulfstream’s New Business Jets

The new aircrafts will be available starting in 2018.

LMI Aerospace Inc., a provider of aerostructures and engineering services, has secured a contract to supply bonded fuselage panels and numerous detail parts for Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation’s business jets. These multi-year contracts continue a partnership between the companies.

Under the new agreements, LMI will produce structural assemblies, skins and components for both the Gulfstream G500 and G600 business jets. The aircraft can hold up to 19 passengers and feature a cabin altitude of 4,850 ft at FL510.

The G500 is scheduled to launch in 2018, with the G600 following in 2019.

“LMI has a long and productive history with Gulfstream. We are excited to have another opportunity to work with such a valued customer on this new and innovative program,” said Dan Korte, chief executive officer, LMI Aerospace. “This program is a unique fit with our capabilities and level of expertise in the aerostructures market.”
