Southpaw Technology’s TACTIC is managing the digital assets across Lockheed Martin Aeronautics’ Media Products departments.

Lockheed Martin Aeronautics purchased TACTIC to augment the internal digital asset management system that was being used to track 2D, 3D, animations, video, and other digital assets created in the company’s Media Products department.

Lockheed Martin Aeronautics extended the use of Southpaw’s production asset management solution to its Video Production department. Southpaw Technology customized TACTIC for the department’s specific workflow needs and to integrate the solution with numerous tools used in the department, including Dassault Systèmes’ CATIA and a majority of the Adobe product suite. With its ability to mine data from multiple databases and internal systems, the Video Production department also uses TACTIC to manage its physical inventory for video shoots.

“The implementation of TACTIC into Lockheed Martin Aeronautics has been a great experience for Southpaw,” says Gary Mundell, CEO of Southpaw Technology. “We really grew a lot from a technological and business standpoint. The process proved to us that we could quickly adapt our solution to benefit highly complex production environments that extend far beyond the entertainment market.”
