Luxion Releases KeyShot 6

This release includes improved workflow and greater material control, the company states.

Luxion has released Keyshot 6 which, according to the company, brings even more speed and simplicity to creating high-quality visuals.

Version 6 includes improved workflow efficiency, greater material control and feature enhancements. Capabilities for evaluating geometry have also been added.

For design, Keyshot 6 has several new lighting modes powered by a new algorithm, real-time region render, multi-layer PSD still rendering and active Scene Set saving.

Material Graph is now available for greater material control. With the material graph, users can open a separate window to display materials, textures and labels as nodes in a graph to visualize connections. Also added is material animation and occlusion procedural.

Geometric views are now a party of Keyshot, which provides an additional camera viewpoint, 1;1 animation playback and camera path animation control. The updated Geometry Editor lets users split surfaces, calculate vertex normals, separate individual surfaces and close open boundaries.

Feature control now offers new plugins for 3ds Max, Maya and Cinema 4D. Panoramic camera animations are also available.
