MachineWorks 6.5 Speeds Things Up

MachineWorks Ltd. (Sheffield, UK), supplier of a toolkit for CNC simulation and verification, released its latest version, MachineWorksT v6.5 including the new MachineBuilder to speed up and simplify the whole integration process.

The MachineBuilder is a quick-start tool that helps integrate the MachineWorks libraries. Furthermore, MachineWorks v6.5 sees the introduction of a file format fully describing a machine tool that can be shared and standardized. Using the file format in combination with the MachineWorks MachineBuilder, it is possible to create an application that simulates a machine in one day.

MachineWorks MachineBuilder allows users to quickly develop their own application, with its own look and feel that can sit either on the controller or a standalone PC.

Simulating the job on the machine in real time is in great demand because it allows operators to have a visual check of what’s happening at any time at the machine, with its effort into achieving faster 5-axis cuts. Other enhancements within MachineWorks’ v6.5 include a more stable use of algorithms, simpler programming of full machine simulation, and wider support of complex machining.
