Siemens PLM Software has announced the customer speaker list for the upcoming 2010 Digital Manufacturing Symposium, scheduled for Sept. 15-16 in Chicago at McCormick Place.

This year’s event brings together a variety of manufacturing executives, industry experts and technology leaders to explore the latest solutions, best practices and future directions in digital manufacturing. Attendees will hear several customers, from a cross section of industries, describe in their own words how they dealt with common manufacturing issues and created a competitive advantage through the application of digital manufacturing technology. Companies delivering presentations this year include Applied Manufacturing Technologies, ARC Advisory Group, DMG/Mori Seiki, Honda of America, INDEX, Speroni SpA, ThyssenKrupp and Zollner Electronic, Inc.

“The goal of the Digital Manufacturing Symposium is to showcase how innovative manufacturers are increasing productivity, optimizing their production strategies and more efficiently leveraging their capital investments through the use of Siemens PLM Software’s digital manufacturing software solutions,” said Tom Hoffman, director of Tecnomatix Product Marketing, Siemens PLM Software. “Participants will hear from some of the world’s most prestigious companies and learn how they are using the Tecnomatix software digital manufacturing suite and NX CAM software to improve productivity.”

In addition to customer presentations, keynote speaker Aric Newhouse, senior vice president of government relations and policy with the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM), and former chief of staff for Senator George V. Voinovich of Ohio, will discuss the future of manufacturing in the United States and the importance of productivity and efficiency.
